She is focused on providing the highest quality of care to all patients and is committed to helping them return to health.
"Torill has helped me focus on the health issues that are most important to me, and we have worked on building a good foundation of health."
FAQs
No. Torill Eccles, MS has a master's degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and so is unable to provide medical care. Services provided are for educational purposes only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Many of us are used to the conventional medicine paradigm of going in for a quick 15-minute appointment, getting some quick advice or a prescription, and then being done with the doctor unless more issues arise. However, a functional medicine model requires more time with the patient and practitioner, allowing for in-depth questioning, personalized treatment plans and follow-ups, and tracking of treatment efficacy.
Additionally, natural remedies and healing typically take longer than popping a pill and noticing an immediate effect. For these reasons, a minimum of three appointments is recommended for each patient, though more appointments may be ideal or necessary.
At the current time, I am unable to accept insurance and HSA/FSA as forms of payment. However, the lab company we work with is able to accept HSA/FSA, so you can use your account for any labwork we may order. Some supplements may also be HSA/FSA eligible, depending on the product and vendor.
Each appointment varies in content, as everyone differs due to the individual nature of each person's situation. However, things you may experience in appointments include but are not limited to:
- A thorough intake and conversation about your health history and your health goals.
- A discussion of eating patterns and helpful food adjustments, which may include a personalized meal plan or food suggestions.
- An analysis of lab work and ensuing treatment suggestions.
- Supplement recommendations.
- Consideration of essential aspects of health, including sleep, exercise, stress management, and mental and emotional health.
I am also more than happy to do additional research into your conditions - I want to help you get to the bottom of things and to help you find lasting health!
